This is the Manual of Style for the JAG Fanon Wiki. It complements the site rules and policies. Users should read both pages.

Languages

Please use U.S. or. U.K. English here. This is because JAG is internationally broadcast. Do not use any other language here.

Dates

Use US-style notation, ie. the ISO 8601 format for all-numeric dates (mm-dd-yyyy). Admins will work to standardize articles.

Images

Categorise images under the 'Image' category and make sure you add a licence, see this Fandom link for help.

Page format

  • Every content page in the mainspace should have the page name in the lead bold. Eg. "XXX is a main character ..."

Character Pages

  • Use this template, it is the best. Fill in info especially promotions and awards. If the character appears more than once, don't forget to list his or her appearances on the page. Remember to categorise the characters.
  • If the character has a vague or ambiguous name like Lieutenant titled it as Lieutenant (actor's name) vertical line Lieutenant.
  • Characters should be referred by their first name on their pages unless they are commonly known by their last names or have no first name stated.

Cast/Crew

  • Use the Template Person for any cast or crew member. Fill in the relevant fields. Add as many details about the person and reference when you find. Crew includes directors, producers and writers. See Meg Austin for an example.
  • Cast/crews should be referred by their first name on their pages.

FanFiction

Relationships

  • Use the Relationships Template the second preview and fill in fields where relevant for fanfiction and add a synopsis of the story.

Please reference news or websites using Cite News and Cite Web and other reference Templates. If the templates don't appear on the page, try again or ask admins.
